Feb'11: Jakarta+Bandung

Been away quite long as take a long holiday....to Indonesia ^_*

Lady travellers, only 2 of us (shall 2+1 as Alviana was carrying her 'miracle' along) which 1st time in Jakarta n 2nd time in Bandung. Really a pack of thrill, adventurous, funny, shopaholic, scary, exciting bla bla bla vacation hehehe...Indonesia is a great place but can't get our guard down there and have to be extra careful because their own Indonesian advice us so,okeyyy...

Kawah Putih, Bandung

Prepare cash as most of the attraction place have fee, so do for meal and cab. Be good at bargaining and don't afraid as Indonesian receive rejection better than people in Petaling Street :P hehehe...Save at least Rp150k for airport tax or you won't get home. The airport tax is vary on different airport.

Reached Jakarta on 10.30pm according the time there straight from Kota Kinabalu Terminal 2 Airport. Our flight fare for go-return ticket (KK-Jakarta-KK) only RM200 including tax+luggage. Cheap kan hehehe. In Jakarta we stayed in Smart Hotel, booked via Agoda.com. Here's my Smart Hotel review...

Grand Indonesia, Jakarta

Next day we just walking around Jakarta Central from Grand Indonesia up until Tanah Abang. Lots of thing happen in a day. The most funny experinces were we'd asked direction by an Indonesian (myb because we keep our confident face even we were also lost hahaha) and we'd accidently broke a glass in a restaurant in Grand Indonesia but gratefully we're not charged :P

Gambir Station, Jakarta

3rd day we checked out the hotel and headed to Bandung by train. Cost us less than Rp100k (less than RM30) per person for 3 hours journey. Arrived in Bandung, straight went to Hotel Rorompok. Really strategic place to stay because located in Jalan Riau,just in front of Sahara FO and 2-3mins walking to Secret FO plus near to shopping complex like Riau Junction.


4th day in Indonesia, spend 1 whole day in Pasar Baru until its closing hour but still we have lots of thing to shop huhuhu. 5th day, we rent a car to drive us to Ciwidey area (where My Heart film was shotted). It's a beautiful district where locate Kawah Putih (White Crater). This place is superb compare to Tangkuban Prahu. You can went down n even touch the crater 'lake'. This magnificiant Kawah Putih able to change its colour to bright white at morning, light turqoise at day time and dark black at night time. Then we went to Situ Patengan, tea and strawberry farm. Lots of hot spring but time sooo limited.

6th day, we back on track to shop at FO's that we able to reach in Jalan Riau ^_^ Shall back to spend one day in Jakarta before back to KK but our driver informed us there was a demonstration in Jakarta. That news forced us to cancel our book at Studio One Residence in Jakarta and as we have extra day in Bandung....we back to Pasar Baru and added more our 'excessed weight' hahaha!!!

We had tough time on deciding how to get back to Jakarta because of the number of bags we have (come with 1 backpack but going back with 4 big luggage LOL) and the demonstration. First we want to save our money by taking the train but surely we have to enter Jakarta Central where the demo was held and change cab-train-cab to airport will trouble us a lot. Ask favour from our driver but Rp500k is way too much for us. Gratefully the owner of Hotel Rorompok helped us by inform that there is an express bus service from Bandung direct to Jakarta Airport.

Safely touched down on KK around 8.30pm. One last funny situation; I almost got taxed for all my stuffs. Imagine I have 3 large bag full with tax items, so how much I need to pay seh??? Finished all aur cash both Rp or MYR huhuhu...But gratefully the Custom Officer let me go due to my pathetic face wahaha ^_* I just think I'm blessed....
